"Land is the basis of all independence. Land is the basis of freedom, justice, and equality." - Malcolm X

Gamsa Gardens is a family-operated agroecological farming collective based on FOOD SOVEREIGNTY and REVOLUTIONARY HEALING with the land. We are a family of agriculturists, scientists, inventors, artists, and activists working toward LIBERATION and SOCIAL CHANGE in our world. We believe that in order for this change to occur, healing has to occur within ourselves, our communities and systems, and our environments.

We are currently located on Hawai'i Island where we are growing a variety of tropical fruits, vegetables, native and cultural plants, and plants for medicinal and therapeutic use on a 3-acre lot in the Puna district.

OUR MISSION is to facilitate the radical liberation of Hawai'i and the native Hawaiian people by growing food and medicine in alignment with indigenous practices, creating lasting respect for the land and its indigenous people. We want to represent a model of syntropic, tradition-based agroecology for other families and communities to communally steward land with righteousness.

Please read through our website to learn more about what we're doing and support us by donating to one of our projects and/or reaching out to BUILD IN SOLIDARITY with us!
